SPORTS Not only do NBGC kids have fun and learn skills with our sports programs, we also strive to teach them important values. We stress good sportsmanship, conflict resolution and teamwork. We require our players, parents, coaches and officials to treat each other respectfully. Our philosophy is "Everyone Plays." This ensures that every child has the opportunity to play in every game - regardless of their skill level.
Boys Floor Hockey & Girls Floor Hockey Registration - early January Play - January through March. Cost is $10.00 for a Team Shirt.
Boys Baseball, Boys 16" Softball & Girls 12" Softball Registration - early March Play - April through mid-June. Cost is $60.00 for the Uniform.
Boys Football & Girls Soccer Registration - mid-June Play - September through November. Cost is $60.00 for the Uniform.
Boys Basketball & Girls Basketball Registration - late October Play - November through January. Cost is $10.00 for a Team Shirt.
Girls Cheerleading Registration - mid-June Play - September through November. Cost is $25.00 for the Uniform.
Girls on the Run Offered in the spring and fall and open to 3rd - 5th grade girls, this program focuses on running workouts and games that teach life skills. Girls learn how to make healthy decisions, resolve conflicts and how to get along in a group. The program culminates in a 5k/3.1 mile run. This program is a collaboration with Girls on the Run. Teen Programs and Activites High School teens are invited to discuss activity ideas for new programs. To schedule a meeting please contact Program Director, 773-463-1848.
Teens activties vary depending on the wants and needs on the membership. Some ongoing avtivities include, monthly Teen Open Mic Concerts, Dances & Outings.
The teens are also invited to complete Service Learning Hours as an individual or in a group.
NBGC is a site for After School Matters programming. Teens can check the website at www.afterschoolmatters.org to see what type of programs are available at NBGC or other local schools, parks, librabies and community oganizations. After School Matters programs include After School Apprenticeship, Brain Games and Teen Hoops.
Activities Though sports are a major focus at the NBGC, we offer a wide range of other activities and programs to meet the needs and interests of kids at every level.
Drop In Clubhouse Our club offers a warm, friendly and safe environment where kids can drop in and do homework, visit friends, use the computer room, play a game of foosball, ping pong, bumper pool or wide variety of board games.
Discovery Program Offered during school year and open to 1st - 2nd graders, this program meets on Saturdays from 9:00 - 11:00 am. While making new friends, kids are taught about playing sports and participate in a wide range of games and community service activities.

This Program include daily supervised homework and activities by adult staff & leaders. Program is offered daily 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm on CPS full days and 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm on CPS ½ days off school. Cost includes a snack each day.

During CPS spring break, NBGC will host a special program from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. The program will include sports, crafts, snacks and 3 field trips.

Pre Summer Camp
What to do when your kids are out before everyone else?? NBGC has the solution! NBGC is hostign a Pre Camp from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm. The program will include traditional summer camp activities and 2 trips per week. Participants will provide their own lunch.
K-5th Grade Summer Fun Camp
The program will run 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. The program will include traditional summer camp activities and 2 trips per week. Participants will provide their own lunch.
6th Grade and older Adventure Camp
The program will run 10:00 - 3:00 pm. The program will include traditional summer camp activities and 2 trips per week. Participants will provide their own lunch.
Summer Camp Mornings
The program will run 8:00 am - 10:00 am. The program will include a snack each morning.
Summer Camp Afternoons
The program will run 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm. The program will include a snack each afternoon.
Summer Camp Extended Afternoons
To help the parents who work late this program will cover the 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
Post Summer Camp
Yes! Finally a program that will help fill the gap between tradional summer camps and the start of school. The program will run 8:00 am - 5:00 pm in August. The program will include traditional summer camp activities and 2 trips per week. Participants will provide their own lunch.
